Cheap Gold

Out there, over the internet and locally, are many companies that guarantee you cheap gold. You may be interested in offers like these, but one important thing to know is that there is no such thing as cheap Gold. Shocked? Well, read on.
One thing you should know, before going for a deal in Gold is that Gold is always Gold, if it is. It is always valued upon its spot price. One, promising you cheap gold, may be trying to scam you. Either it is gold bullion, scrap gold, or gold articles, there are a few definite factors, upon which the value and price of gold piece is based. Therefore, you always need to act smartly whenever you see such thing, because greed is always harmful and nothing less than a curse.
For example, you go on for buying gold jewelry. Now, you should know that the price and value of gold jewelry is based upon the amount and purity of gold in it, its appearance and design and its rarity. And yes, if you ask, an article may be cheaper than another, based upon these factors.
It is a righteous fact, the more sugar you add, the sweeter it becomes. Therefore, expensive things are not always worse. Most of the time, expensive thing is the best. This is the case in gold items. You go for a better, established and a known company, as well as a more valued item, you are spending your money on a right thing. It is better to spend money on a valued item of a high price, than a non-valued item of low price. Sometimes, you do not even find a way to dispose of a cheap, non-valued item, properly.
Therefore, whenever you invest, or spend your money on gold, spend it wisely, so that you may have a handsome return when you sell it.

Gold Funds

Gold Funds or Gold Mutual Funds are trading vehicles that you can invest in and these can act to store your investment or can be sold to earn profit. Most people prefer to invest in gold as it is a highly volatile commodity. Gold funds can provide a hedge against geopolitical crisis or inflation. These act well against currency downfall. Due to the ever increasing demand of gold, its spot price has been increasing day by day. Any long term investment  is surely going into a complete profitable trade.
Gold Funds are categorized in two basic classes. Physical gold, commonly called gold bullion is available in commodity markets, in the form of Bars or Coins. Gold bars are more pure and are available in variable sizes. These are good for traders as these include less fabrication costs, are more durable and are available on lesser premium. Gold coins have, otherwise, their own benefits. Some coins are rare and historically important. These are called numismatic coins and their value is a lot higher than the actual value of gold in these coins.
Gold ETFs or in layman terms, virtual gold, is a fund or index that is closely related to the spot price of gold, and has its assets invested in the shares of gold mining or manufacturing companies. These days, some companies that own gold, have pledged into this business of gold stock index. Gold ETFs are of two types. Gold price index is the one, in which the index tracks the actual spot price of gold and is solely dependant upon it. This type of investment is far better than buying gold bullion as you do not have to care about owning physical gold, shipping or storing it safely. You can do it from the comfort of your home. The other type of gold ETF, the gold stock index is the one, in which the assets are involved in a conglomerate of many gold dealing companies. This is a stock market business and involves all of the aspects of a typical stock market. Except that it is relatively safe, the assets being involved in the conglomerate of different companies, so that if one loses its value, others are there to protect your investment.

Trading Gold Futures

Trading Gold Futures can be of great worth to some people. Gold futures allow you to gain much more profit than your initial investments ( or margin.)
If you wish to trade in Gold futures, you need to look for a well-established and a highly reputed Futures Dealer. There are many of them available online. the broker will handle all your deals and will help you stand in the market. First of all, you need to sign a contract with the dealer that enlists all the details, terms and conditions and the risk you accept to take. The account setup may take some days as the dealer will have to check and validate your data.
Before, going for the whole process, you need to understand a few basic things:

  • Every market is a complicated one and it is influenced by more than one factors at a time. So study the market trends before going for a gold futures trade as gold market is nonetheless same.
  • Gold Futures has hidden costs included based on contango.
  • You pose yourself to a lot risk when going for a gold future trade. Therefore, trade in the limits of the amount, that you expect to arrange, in case any loss occurs.
  • Futures deals may involve roll-over. This can result in an acute psychological pressure.
  • Futures professional can have the opportunity of running into settlement, but a private buyer can not. This may cause an imbalance, not seen in a gold bullion deal.
  • Most people buy gold to serve in the hour of need or to act against inflation or crisis. This is not true in case of gold futures. Gold Futures market is unstable, while gold bullion market is a lot more stable. In a gold bullion market, a downfall in price incourages more people to buy gold and so the price increases again with the increasing demand. But, in gold Futures market, a decreasing price forces most people to sell futures which results into a complete crash.

Gold Futures

If you are somehow related to gold trading, you might have come across a term called Gold Futures. What is Gold Futures?

A future is simple deal in gold funds, decided in the present time, but the actual exchange takes place on a day in future. Both parties (i. e. the buyer and the seller) are benefited due to Futures, because neither the buyer has to pay full price at present, nor the seller has to handover the fixed amount of gold. The working of Gold Futures may seem to be complicated, yet it is an interesting process.
The buyer, upon the decision of the deal, has to pay a part of the total payment. This is called Margin. It is usually 5-20%. Margin is needed to protect the parties from running away, in any way the price of Gold increases or falls down. Sometimes, the margin may top up. This is because, when the price of gold falls, the buyer has to pay more margin. This will be explained with the example described below.
Futures provide leverages. This is also known as gearing. In order to understand leverage and topping up of margin, see the example below.
For example, you have $10 000 with you. If you, simply buy gold bullion, you can buy gold bullion worth of $10 000 only. So, when the price of gold increases by 10%, you will get a profit of $1000. But, if you buy gold through gold futures, you can buy Gold bullion, worth of nearly $200 000. Because you will only have to pay 5% of the total amount at present, that is only $10 000. Now, if the price of gold increases by 10%, you will earn a profit of $20 000. This is 20 times greater than the profit you will gain by buying gold bullion at present. Now, you can understand, how gold futures provide leverage.
You also need to notice the flip side to this situation. If somehow, after the deal has been decided, gold prices fall, you will have to pay more margin. For example, the gold prices fall by 10%. In the case of buying simple bullion, you will only have a loss of $1000 and 90% of your investment is still with you. But, when you  buy gold futures, you will have to suffer a loss of $20 000. This will make you pay more margin over the actual one.
Gold Futures can bring you a lot more profit than simple gold trading with a risk of a heavy loss. Therefore, whenever you decide to buy gold futures, act smartly, and study the market trends and future expectations, carefully.

Guideline of Purchasing a Diamond

Do you want to purchase a diamond?
Are you confused because you do not have necessary information about the diamonds?

Be smart and memorize some quick tips before going out for a diamond shopping.
The four things, commonly known as the 4Cs that you need to check, are Cutting, Color, Clarity and Carat weight.
Cutting affects the brilliance of diamond and reflection of light in diamond. You should not confuse the cutting of diamond with the shape of diamond, as shape is the outer appearance only but cutting is directly proportional to its brilliance. If the diamond is not cut properly, it will pass all the light through other edges and faces and will not reflect it, so the brilliance of diamond is reduced. Diamond is categorized as ideal cut, premium, good, fair and poor depending upon the characteristics of cutting a diamond.

Color of the diamond refers to the speech about the presence and absence of colors in diamond. Colorless (generally known as white diamonds) are very rare so they have great values. Rare and unique diamonds have colors ranging from blue to green to bright yellow. And diamonds graded G through I show virtually no color that is visible to the untrained eye. Diamonds graded D through F are naturally the most valuable and desirable because of their rarity.

Term clarity describes the flawless diamonds externally and internally. Some diamonds have surface flaws and rough external edges but internally they are flawless or vice versa. Inclusions refer to internal flaws and blemishes refer to surface flaws. Inclusion are the air bubbles, cracks and non- diamond minerals while blemishes are the scratches and chips on the surface due the cutting of diamond
Flawless diamonds are very rare that is why flawless diamond has more value than the diamond with less clarity.
  • F
These are flawless diamonds. F grade diamonds have no external or internal flaw.
  • IF
These only have external flaws but are clear from inside.  These diamonds are also very rare.
  • VVS1-VVS2
Very slightly included (two grades). The diamonds have minute inclusions, that are very difficult to detect under 10X magnifications by a trained gemologist.
  • VS1-VS2
Very slightly included (two grades). Minute inclusions seen only with difficulty under 10X magnification.
  • SI1-SI2
Slightly included (two grades). These diamonds have minute inclusions that are more easily detected under 10X magnification
  • I1-I2-I3
Included (three grades). There are inclusions present that are visible under 10X magnification and also to human eye.
A carat is a unit of measurement, it's the unit used to weigh a diamond. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams, or 0.2 grams. The guideline about buying the diamond of specific size depends upon your budget and the compromise on quality and items of jewelry, you are buying. Carefully think the sort of setting which holds the diamond well and then the carat size.

Diamonds Price

Diamonds price is determined by a famous rule, commonly know as the rule of 4Cs. On the basis of this rule, a diamond's value is determined by its cut, carats, color and clarity. The weight of diamond is expressed in carats, therefore, greater the carats, more will be the price. Cut gives a diamond its proper sparkle, shine and appearance. A well-cut diamond is more valued than a non-cut. Usually, diamonds are transparent in color, but some impurities, such as boron, give specific colors to diamonds that enhance their appearance and value. The other important factor in determining the value of diamond is its clarity. A clear diamond gives more shine and sparkle. Therefore, it has a high value.
There are variety of shapes and sizes of diamond available in the market and each shape and size has its own price. Moreover, the price is affected by the brand. Famous brands and dealers have high priced diamonds, but it also has to do with their quality.

How to buy a diamond

Do you want to buy diamond? If yes, you need to know some basic information about diamonds before you can make a successful deal.
In assessing the value of diamonds, the rule of 4Cs is applied. According to this rule, diamonds are valued based on their carats, cut, color and clarity. Once you know all of these terms, you can assess the quality of diamond, you want to buy. Diamonds are weighed in terms of carats. Therefore, the greater the weight in carats, higher is the price. Diamonds have different colors. Usual diamonds are transparent in color. But, when small amount of impurities are added, diamonds take beautiful colors that increase the value. Cut is another important factor in determining the value of diamond. A well-cut diamond will have a much greater value than the non-cut one with same weight and quality. One point to keep in mind is that a well-cut diamond will always sparkle, even in dim light. Therefore, you should check the diamond's sparkle for its quality.
Diamond certification is also a necessary aspect of shopping diamonds. You must know the difference between a certificate and an appraisal. A certificate tells about the quality of diamond, but does not put a monetary value on it. On the other hand, an appraisal puts a monetary value on a piece of diamond but does not tell about the quality. Certificate is a must, when buying diamond. This is because a certificate tells about the quality and characteristic of diamond. If it is not available, you will have to rely on the merchant and you may get scammed. Moreover, certificate proves the ownership of a specific piece of diamond as all of the information about that piece is mentioned on it.
Therefore, whenever you go for buying diamond, just keep the above mentioned points in mind and do a little homework yourself. Choose a trust worthy and a well-reputed dealer and check the services and offers available. For more details, and for a list of top online diamonds stores, please visit the page about buying diamonds.

Diamond

Diamonds is an allotrope of carbon and the hardest known substance on earth. Most of its properties are due to the diamonds atoms, arranges in the formation of a 'face-centered' cubic structure, with the help of covalent bonds.
Diamond has a high optical dispersion that gives it its 'luster.' Due to a rigid structure, only minute impurities are present, yet these give diamond crystals a specific color, such as blue, green or yellow. This increases their value. Diamonds are naturally formed in the depths of earth, in the presence of high temperature and pressure. It can also be formed synthetically through 'Chemical Vapor Deposition' (CVD).
In market, diamond has its own value. It has been in demand throughout its history and is sold freely or as a decoration in jewelry articles. Diamonds is valued in market, on four bases; carat, cut, color and clarity. These are collectively known as the 4 Cs. Gemological Institute of America is the most respected institute on gemstones and diamonds, throughout the world. All of the grading and certification, on diamonds, is done by this company.

Gold exchange is a two step process in which both of the steps occur simultaneously. In an exchange, you are selling your piece of gold and buying another in return. Gold Investment Advice

Gold has proven itself as a good investment vehicle in the past years. Gold has not only maintained its value in this time of recession, but has also added to it, considerably. If you are looking for some nice advice for investment, I would recommend you to go for Gold investment at this time. Although, gold prices have not been stable these days, yet gold investment may prove to be profitable by the end of this year. Gold investment is done in two ways which are described below.
Buying Gold Bullion:
Gold bullion is also considered as an investment. You buy gold bullion, store it and then sell it at the right time to gain profit. Gold Bullion prices have risen over 440% in the last 10 years. Therefore, any long term investment in Gold is surely going into profit. Small terms investment may also be profitable but these need a bit of hard work. You need to study the market trends carefully and then decide what is the right time to buy or sell gold.

Investing in Gold Stocks:
Although, Gold bullion stocks have been outpacing those of the mining companies, since 2010, by a ratio of 5 to 1, investment in gold stock index is still of interest due to its easiness. But, before you go for the investment, you need to take care of a few things.
  • You need to find the companies whose stocks have been stable through some time. These companies must have proven stocks in the market and the stock value should be expected to rise.
  • Choose those companies that are continuously expanding their reserves. It has been proved that companies with expanding reserves outperform those with constant ones. it can make a huge difference.
  • The company, you invest in should also focus on making profit rather than focusing only on production. Production alone yields too little or even nothing but loss.
  • It has been noticed that companies that employ the mechanism of insider buying often show better result. Of course, this is a proof of good management. Yet, it has other benefits too.
  • The selected company should have a good record of production over the past period. The most stable one is that which has shown better production over a longer period of time.

Whichever company you choose, just study it carefully. Get to know its each and every aspect. Perform your homework diligently. Only then you can expect to gain returns.

How to sell Gold?

If you want to sell Gold, you need to be aware of certain things before you can go for selling it. Gold is a precious metal and it may include a lot much of your investment. Therefore, you need to act smartly and vigilantly in order to be on the safe side.
First of all, you need to know what type of Gold you own. When you go for selling gold, the piece you own may fall into one of these categories; Scrap Gold, Gold Bullion, Gold ETFs and Gold certificates. When you know the right type of the gold, its accurate value, the right place to sell it and the right time to sell it, only then you can make profit from it.
Gold scrap consists of anything like gold jewelry or articles that have to be melted down to reuse it. Gold scrap usually yields less profit, because it has to be purified as it has considerable amount of impurity in it. Purification decreases the weight of gold. Moreover, the fabrication costs included at the time of buying these are cut off at the time of sale. These facts make scrap gold less profitable. The hardest part of selling scrap gold is that it is really difficult to know about the value of the Gold included as you are usually unaware of the exact mass and purity of Gold in these. The best way to do it is to test the purity of the gold yourself and then weigh it down to estimate its value. In order to know how to test Gold, please click here. Otherwise, you may take it to a pawnshop where its value can be estimated. You also need to refine scrap gold. For this purpose it is better to sell your gold to a refiner because this eliminates the middle man. But, while doing this, you need to be more vigilant as most refiners do not disclose the upfront amount, they are paying you.. Be aware of the exact spot price of gold and make sure that the refiner pays you at least 90% of the value of gold in it. Otherwise, first refine your gold and then sell it to a dealer.
Gold Bullion can be either in the form of Coins or Gold Bars of different sizes. It is very easy to know about the value of these as these mass and purity of the gold is stamped on them. You can know the spot price and then estimate the value of gold in these bars or coins.
Gold ETFs and certificates have clearly stated value in the market. Therefore, these are the safest investment vehicles. You just need to find a suitable place and time to sell these funds in order to make profit from these.

Now that you know how to estimate the price of Gold you have, it is time to know where to sell your gold. You can sell gold to a local or an online dealer. A local dealer will be easy to find and the credentials are stated by the local market itself. An online dealer is not difficult to find either. The best way is to look for the members of the Professional Numismatists Guild. (PNG) You can choose one of them and deal with it. Choose the dealers which provides you most services and which offers good rates.
Choose the time when gold price is most stable and is increasing. Because only then you will be able to make the most out of your deal. Just study the market trends and have a clear idea of the current situation. In order to know about the latest updates about the Gold market, please visit this blog periodically to check the latest posts on the topic.

If you are an investor, you might be interested in noticing what is the right time to sell gold. This time of the year, the market is variable. Gold has been on descend recently, but now the market is rising and is expected to rise further. But this may not be the right time for you to sell gold if you can manage to hold your investment in Gold. Depending upon the time you want to sell gold, you need to be aware of some things. If we look at the overall picture of the gold market for this very year, we might see that the market has shown no considerable ascend in this time and the gold prices seem to descend. Gold coins

Gold coins constitute the other type of Gold Bullion found in the common market together with Gold bullion bars. Gold coins are smaller in size with less amount of Gold and a mix of some other metal in order to make it more durable.

Gold coins can be differentiated to some extent. There are coins the value of which depend solely on the value of gold included in  them. These coins are valued on the basis of gold weight, purity and the manufacturing. While, some coins are valued a lot higher than the actual value of Gold in them because these coins include other numismatic costs included in them. These costs are determined by their historical value and rarity, etc. The latter ones, unlike the former ones, are not sold in common market, but are sold through specific auctions and only the people interested in their collection buy these. Numismatic coins cannot be used for investment purposes.

Gold Buying

Gold is the choice of all. People love to buy gold for various reasons. It has been used to develop articles of beauty, to earn money through its trading, to secure the savings and some other reasons too. But the thing we  are interested in is that out there are many people who wish to buy gold this very moment. And if you are one of them, you are at the right place to start with.
We have already been discussing about, how to buy gold, where to buy gold, when to buy gold, in our previous posts. The thing we are going to discuss here is that what types are there, the market offers you gold or its assets in.
Physical Gold is available in the form of Gold Bullion and Gold Jewelry or articles. Gold Bullion is of two major types, Gold Bullion Bars and Gold Bullion coins. Bullion bars are larger in size than coins. There are bars of every type, purity and mass available in the market. These are used for big investments. Gold Bullion coins are smaller in size and hence are used for smaller investments. These may or may not be numismatic coins that are priced a lot higher than the actual value of Gold in them; their value being based on their historical value or rarity.
Gold Jewelry is available in every possible design, these days. Moreover, many dealers allow you to design your own piece. Gold articles are also available in the market for decoration and beauty. The price of such articles and jewelry is based upon the value of Gold in them and their design.
Gold ETF is another form most popular these days. Actually, Gold ETF is not real Gold. ETF stands for 'Exchange Traded Fund.' Gold ETF is available in two forms; Gold Price Index and Gold Stock Index. Gold price index is an ETF whose assets are based upon virtual Gold and the values are based upon the spot price of Gold. Gold stock index is such an ETF in whice the investors invest into the shares of the companies mining or dealing in Gold.
The above discussed forms are the major ones ind demand these days. For more info, please visit through the blog. There is a lot much discussion of the value of Gold in this post, so it would be worth telling that the value of Gold is determined by its mass and purity. Mass is mostly measured in ounces while purity is measured in Carats.

Gold as an Investment

Gold has been in demand since its discovery. And this demand has lead to the idea of "Gold as an Investment." Marketers have always been keen to study the market value of gold and it has been used for the purpose of investment for earning and also to secure the savings for the hard times. Why is gold a preferable investment vehicle? The answer to this question lies in the simple fact told here.
For all the time, Gold value has been rising because of the natural downfall of the value of currency and also the economic crisis in the currency market. Gold prices have been rising continuously and day after day, Gold has been beating its own record in the international market. The fact that Gold price is same all over the world, makes it suitable for all people to invest in its assets.
Gold prices fluctuate every minute, yet it is not difficult to find a stable pattern in the long term. For example, if you see the chart of Gold spot price on the left, you can see that the price has been highly fluctuating in the past 30 days.

It may seem sometimes that the price is falling, and the trade may go into loss, yet you can visibly see some upturns in the chart where, acting smartly can bring you profit. Moreover, when you see the picture, all becomes clear to you. The chart on the right shows that the price of Gold has been steadily rising, year by year.
Therefore, any long term investment is ever secure and it grows itself as the time passes. Due to this reason, Gold Investment has been a preferable choice of most marketers.
If you are deciding to take this step, you probably should take it for your own good. But remember, act smartly!

Facts about Gold

The term 'Gold' has been derived from the Proto-Indo-European base, ghel or ghol, meaning "yellow" or "bright." It was first discovered by James W. Marshal on January 24, 1848 in California. He was seeing the site for a construction of a sawmill on the American river, in Sutter Creek near Coloma, while he saw some shiny material in the ground. From that time, Gold has been discovered in every continent of earth. All the Gold discovered up-till now is in circulation throughout the world, yet it is estimated that 80% of the total Gold available on earth is still in ground.

Gold melts at 1064.43 degree Celsius. It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity, second only to platinum and has the ability to last long because it does not rust. It is an edible metal and has been used in various foods throughout the world. Gold is considered as a cure for rheumatoid arthritis. Gold is much pliable material and has been used in writing by developing its thread. It is said that an ounce of Gold can be stretched over 50 miles. Gold is chemically inert and Gold jewelry is the safest jewelry as it does not causes skin reactions. One cubic foot of a gold piece weighs 1/2 tons.

Gold is available in the market, now in various masses and purity. The mass of Gold is highly variable. Gold bars are available in many different masses and the largest bar of gold available in the market is of 200 kg. The purest bars of gold have "three nines" purity. That means that these bars are 99.9% pure. While the purest bar is 99.999 % pure. Generally, the purity of Gold in market is valued in Carats where Gold pieces of 1-24 K ('K' being the symbol) are available.

Value of Gold

Who does not know the value of Gold these days! Since its discovery, it has been a matter of interest for the people of world. Gold is the only thing, probably, that has kept its value since the beginning.

The value of Gold depends upon certain qualities. These are discussed here in a random order because the order relevant to their importance is difficult to achieve due to the dominance of one factor over another at times.

The ultimate value of a Gold piece depends upon its purity and mass. The purity of gold is discussed in terms of Carats, where Gold pieces in market have a purity of 1-24 K. (K is the symbol for carats) Together, the mass of a piece and its purity determine the cost of that piece. Mixture of other metals in Gold (due to some reasons) decreases its price and value.

The value of Gold somehow depends upon the type of Gold piece. This is due to the facts that different types have different fabrication costs and labor charges included in them. For example, Gold Bullion Bars are cheaper as compared to Gold bullion coins. This fact can make a difference in trading.

Gold pieces are also valued, to some extent, on the basis of the company producing them. The well known companies have the advantage of selling their Gold at prices higher than others. But usually the price is leveled out in the market.

Specific design of some Gold articles, such as coins and jewelry have influence on its value. Latest designs have more demands than the older ones and the costs are lowered for a typical item as time passes.

Some articles of Gold, such as coins or other historical pieces have numismatic values included in cost. These are sold at a cost sometimes very high than the actual value of Gold in them. People interested in collecting historical coins and pieces buy these articles proudly. Archaeologically important articles of Gold, and some coins used as currencies in the well-known eras of the past are most valuable in specific markets. And an interesting fact is that such items are not sold in open market along with simple Gold bullion.

One very important factor that may dominate almost all of the above mentioned ones is the demand and rarity of Gold in a certain area or at times throughout the world. Higher demand and rarity increases the value of Gold and the prices are heavily increased as a result.

Gold Tips

Today's Tip includes something that will help you survive in the Gold market.
The spot price of Gold has been falling for many months. It was before October 2012, that we saw the last ascend in the Gold spot price chart. Since then, it has been falling down continuously. The reason behind this fall is not obvious and is not as much important as the fact that investment in Gold is at risk this time of the year. If you watch the chart carefully, you will notice that short term ascends are there, but not common. Therefore, patience is all that is required to sustain in today's market. If you are planing for a short time investment, this might not be the right time for you.

How to Buy Gold Jewelry?

They say, "jewelry is like a car, you take it out of the showroom at one price and you trade it in at another." Buying Gold Jewelry may seem to be a difficult process, especially if you are a new buyer. There are a many things you should know about before going for a deal in Gold jewelry.
The first fact, one should make clear is that anything from Gold Bullion bar to Gold jewelry is not 100% pure. The purest Gold Bullion Bars are 9.99% pure. The purity decreases as it is fabricated into articles to make them more durable.
The other fact is that Gold articles like Jewelry, coins, etc. are sold at a price higher than the actual value of Gold in them. This is because of the other costs included in them. The factors are their rarity, numismatic value, their design, etc.
Before buying any piece of Gold or other precious metal, one should be aware of the Spot Price of that metal. Before, buying gold jewelry, just run through the Gold market shortly and know the prices. After that, you need to pick a suitable dealer. If you want to buy Gold jewelry from a local dealer, just check its credentials by searching the local market. If you want to buy Gold jewelry online, just pick a dealer that offers more services, less fabricating costs and less shipping charges. The design should you choose, be a versatile one that may last for a longer period of time, because the older the design is, the less value is. Many online dealers provide you the option of designing your own article. Yet, designing your own article will be more costly and it will cost you a lot. This is because, you will buy it at a higher price than other ones while sell it at a lower one.
Remolding Gold jewelry is less expensive than an exchange. But, if you do not care for the costs at much, just go for an exchange of an old article for a new one. In the former process, you have to pay to the dealer in terms of Gold, while in the latter, you have to pay in terms of currency.
If you are looking to buy Gold online, just visit our page about Buy Gold Jewelry. You will find a list of trusted online dealers with reviews on them.

How to Invest in Gold Bullion?

If you are thinking of investing in Gold Bullion, you should know certain things about it first. You may or may not be fully aware of the term Gold Bullion. It has been discussed in the previous posts. Here, are the important things to take care about before investing into Gold.
The First step, while investing into Gold Bullion is to choose which type of Gold Bullion is right for you. If you are a big investor and want to invest a lot of money into Gold Bullion, your choice should be Bullion Bars. This is because, these Bars come in various weights. You need to buy the ones with the largest weight. For example, if you want to buy 100 g of Gold, the best option is to buy a single bar of 100 g, rather than to buy more than one of less weight. This is due to the fact that the larger the Bar, the closer the price to the actual value of Gold. Small bars have higher fabrication costs involved. Apart from this fact, Gold Bullion Bars are easy to handle and store and bring more profit when sold because they are sold at a cost near to the actual price of Gold.
When you want to make small investments in Gold, buy Gold coins. Coins are of smaller sizes. The disadvantage of buying coins is that these include larger fabricating costs and are bought higher than the actual value of Gold in them. So, these bring less profit to the investor. Moreover, the coins are less pure. While the purest bars are 99.9% pure, coins have larger amounts of other metals mix in them to make them durable. The other important point to note is that some Gold coins have extra costs included in them. These are called numismatist values. These depend upon the historic or social value of their coins and their rarity because some coins were used as currency in the past. Such coins are not your choice if you want to invest in Gold. These coins should only be bought if you have actual liking for them and you want to collect them as a hobby.
When you have decided the right type of Gold Bullion to invest in, this is the time to choose the right dealer. There are various dealers operating online. Each of them has its own offers, services, etc. You just need to check the credentials of the dealer before you go for a deal with them. In order to know more about choosing Gold dealers and a list of top Gold dealers with their reviews, please visit our page about Pure Gold.

How to Test Gold?

If you are going to buy Gold, or you have a Gold piece, it would be important for you to test its purity. It is astonishing to know that the stamps on Gold articles and pieces of Golds are sometimes fake. Therefore, you need to test the purity of Gold yourself before buying it.

Requirements:
In order to test the purity of Gold, you need a Gold test Kit. This kit is available all over the world.

Gold Test Kit:
Gold Test Kit consists of three items.
  1. A touchstone: It is a black stone, usually jasper or basalt.
  2. A Gold Test needle.
  3. A gold test Acid.

Procedure:
First of all look for the carat stamp on the piece of Gold. It has a number on it from 1-24 with the letter 'K' behind it. The number represent the purity of Gold in Carats, while K being the symbol of it. When you have known the number listed on the piece, choose the Gold test needle of that number. For example, if the stamp says 14 K, choose a 14 K gold test needle. Now scratch the touchstone with the Gold test needle you chose (14 K in this example) and with the Gold piece side by side. Now take the acid of the same number (like 14 K gold test acid in this example) and put a drop of it on the both scratches. If the reaction of both scratches is the same, the purity of the Gold is as listed on the Carats Stamp, otherwise repeat the process with a different set of needle and acid until you get the required result (same reaction of scratches.)

Be sure, that every time you decide to choose an acid, its number should be the same as that of the needle.
In this way you can find out the correct purity of the Gold article or Piece under consideration.

ETF, the acronym for Exchange Traded Funds, means that the funds under consideration are traded in stock market. A stock market index determines the value of ETF and it depends solely on the value of index. In the same way, investing into GOld ETF is investing into the index of a Gold ETF of a particular stock exchange, the one you are trading in.

Gold ETF is of two types; viz, Gold Stock Index and Gold Price index. In Gold Stock index, you invest into the conglomerate of Gold Companies while in the later, you invest into an ETF that is related to the Gold spot price and whose value depends upon the value of Gold.

Either way you invest, Gold ETF is a nice way of utilizing your money. Obviously, GOld Price Index is more safer because the Price of Gold usually does not fall to an extent causing a recession. But, even Gold Stock Index is beneficial because you are investing into the stock index of a conglomerate of Companies and not a single company.
