Gold coins

Gold coins constitute the other type of Gold Bullion found in the common market together with Gold bullion bars. Gold coins are smaller in size with less amount of Gold and a mix of some other metal in order to make it more durable.

Gold coins can be differentiated to some extent. There are coins the value of which depend solely on the value of gold included in  them. These coins are valued on the basis of gold weight, purity and the manufacturing. While, some coins are valued a lot higher than the actual value of Gold in them because these coins include other numismatic costs included in them. These costs are determined by their historical value and rarity, etc. The latter ones, unlike the former ones, are not sold in common market, but are sold through specific auctions and only the people interested in their collection buy these. Numismatic coins cannot be used for investment purposes.
